Unicrane was established in 1972 and has over 40 years of experience in the automation and crane industry. Our initial business focused on hoists and cranes in Taiwan. Unicrane is a subsidiary of Yung Ming Precast, a well-known precast manufacturer in the tunneling industry in Taiwan.
In 1992, the founder of Yung Ming Precast combined the expertise and know-how from two different business sectors to form a new entity. Unicrane then became part of our corporate group and began developing the segment mould business. We supply segment moulds not only in Taiwan but also to other Asian countries such as Japan and nations in Southeast Asia.
Hangzhou Unicrane was established in early 2004 in Hangzhou, China. The company built a steel structure factory covering 30,000 square meters, with a total land area of 66,000 square meters. Our main products include steel segment moulds, moulds for precast concrete products, steel segments, structural frames for automated storage systems, carousel systems, automation for production lines, and handling equipment for precast elements.
Segment Mould
Having over 35 years of experience in RC segment and segment mould fabrication, and making significant investments in CNC machining centers, Unicrane has supplied moulds to precast factories serving metro and tunnel projects in more than 90% of China’s major cities—including Beijing, Nanjing, Shenyang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Guangzhou, and others.
In 2005, Unicrane introduced Japanese electrical vibrators with adjustable frequency control systems to China, pioneering the use of the "vibration table system" for concrete vibration technology. This technique is now widely adopted in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and China.
Steel Segment
Steel segments are fabricated from standard hot-rolled mild steel. They are designed to offer higher strength, ease of transportation, better capability for in-situ modification, and higher tolerance.
Generally, they are designed for cross passages and tunnels with small radii, such as underground cable tunnels and gas tunnels.
Unicrane welders have successfully obtained certification from the JIS welding test, ensuring that our welding techniques provide superior quality assurance. With our production setup and management experience, our capacity for fabricating steel segments can reach up to 30,000 rings per year.
Unicrane is also a factory certified by the Japanese Sewage Association, allowing us to sell steel segments back to Japan for sewage purposes. (Only two factories in Asia are approved by the Japanese Sewage Association, and Unicrane is one of them.)
Carrousel System
With 30 years of experience in hoist and crane manufacturing, Unicrane is capable of designing and fabricating hoists and cranes ranging from small hoists to 300-ton cranes.
We offer design and manufacturing services for overhead cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, cranes for vessels/ships, and other custom-designed special cranes. Our extensive design capabilities also enable us to develop carousel production systems with fully automatic lifting and hoisting designs. Examples include fully automatic lifting systems for steel coils, special soil conveyors for shafts, and automatic storage systems.
Unicrane is certified to design and fabricate cranes up to 300 tons under our ISO quality assurance system. Hangzhou Unicrane has also been approved by the government to manufacture and install Grade B hoists/cranes.
China Steel and China Shipbuilding in Taiwan are using more than 500 units of our cranes. We have also designed and supplied cranes to Formosa Heavy Industries Corp. and European material handling equipment companies for large-scale automatic system projects.
